Mexico is now granting Temporary Residency for those who own property in Mexico.
The property must be valued at $11,160,000 pesos or about $500K USD.
If two owners names are on the deed, then the property value must be DOUBLE that for both owners to gain Temporary Residency.
You will need the deed (escritura) to apply.
For those who are considering investing in the strong property market in Mexico this is is an added bonus!
And if you are wondering what is the financial requirements to apply for a Temporary Visa NOT using real estate purchase, here you go:
Temporary Residency at a Consulate (2025) - Not Using Real Estate :
• Monthly income $4,185 US / $5,975 Can. (300 days x minimum wage 279) employment or pension showing 6 months of bank statements, or
• Investments $69,750 US / $99,643 Can. (5000 days x minimum wage 279) with 12 months of individual statements.
